FAQ's of GM008 Gun Metal / Bronze Globe Valve PN-16 (Screwed):

Q: How does the GM008 Globe Valve ensure reliable sealing and minimal leakage?

A: The GM008 features a renewable stainless steel disc and gun metal seat that guarantee tight sealing. Its Class-A leakage rating and rigorous hydraulic testing at 24 kg/cm2 for both seat and body ensure minimal leakage even under demanding conditions.

Q: What applications are ideal for the GM008 Gun Metal / Bronze Globe Valve?

A: This valve is perfect for industrial environments, water supply networks, HVAC systems, and all types of plumbing. Its design and materials support usage with water, oil, gas, and steam, making it a versatile choice for many sectors.

Q: When should I use a globe valve over other valve types?

A: Globe valves like the GM008 are best used when precise flow control and reliable shut-off are crucial. Their linear flow characteristic and full bore design provide effective modulation and tight closure compared to gate or ball valves.

Q: Where can the GM008 Globe Valve be installed?

A: The valve can be mounted in either horizontal or vertical orientations, providing flexibility during installation. Its screwed BSP or NPT threaded ends (compliant with IS:554/BS:21) allow easy integration into existing pipelines.

Q: What is the process for testing the valve for safety and durability?

A: Each GM008 valve undergoes hydraulic testing for both seat and body at a pressure of 24 kg/cm2 as per standards IS:778/BS:5154. This ensures the valve's durability, performance under pressure, and leak-proof operation.

Q: How do the materials used in the GM008 Globe Valve benefit its longevity?

A: The use of gun metal or bronze for the body, stainless steel for the stem, and cast iron/malleable iron for the handwheel provides excellent resistance to corrosion, wear, and thermal stress. These materials contribute to a long operational life and dependable performance in harsh environments.
